Keeping up with rapid change requires us all to continually update knowledge and skills, research our urgent needs, manipulate and interpret abundant and often contradictory information, and integrate new insights to transform our future behavior. In other words, we need to be learners.
For several years, we have extended our research into methods that promote continual learning in the workplace. How can we help people improve their learning skills? What tools can we provide them? What can managers do to enable learning? What can we do to create environments in which "learning is a way of being," as described by Peter Vaill in his book of that name?
